What blogging platform do you use?

We are a WordPress house. You can apply what we teach to any blog because all blogs need to be well written and well optimized for search engines to get in the game. If you are on a different platform than WordPress, you may have to tap other resources to find out how to insert some important On-Page SEO Rules.

What if I don't have Word or Excel on my computer?

The files can be opened in google docs, google sheets, etc.

Are online classes self-paced or scheduled?

This particular course is self-paced so you work to finish assignments and complete the blog posts however long it takes you to craft them and you get to work on them as your schedule allows. No deadline. In this self-paced course, you go at your own speed without instructor interaction. If you decide you want to work in a group or get feedback on your work, Hit-the-Web Marketing offers Get Your Blog Done Bootcamp.

In the Get Your Blog Done Bootcamp, we meet online the first Wednesday of every month for 3 hours. You can choose to write your content then, or bring what you have written for review and instructor feedback.

By contrast, our bootcamp offers you a place to join our scheduled online courses, also known as Real Time Virtual (RTV) courses, mean you will need to be online with the instructor and other students for each class period. RTV courses are much more similar to the in-person class experience than self-paced courses. Often, scheduled online courses come with more structured guidelines for accomplishing work and can include group work.

For those who need a lot of flexibility in their online learning due to other obligations or those who want to avoid the anxieties that sometimes come with in-class interactions, self-paced courses can be the best option. For students who are looking for an online class that can provide an experience as close to an in-person class as possible, RTV coursework is the right option for you.

What Technology and Software do I need for this course?

It’s a good idea to have all of these installed before you start the course.

We use WordPress with Yoast plugin.
Install Keyword Surfer & Grammarly chrome extension. If you use a different browser, this same extension may be available.
Install Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
And we use Buffer. Consider creating an account before you get started.

How long do I have access to this course?

You’ll have access to the course forever. It will be available unless we either discontinue, revise, or update. We don’t have plans to take it down.

Are there quizzes and tests with this course?

No quizzes, tests, or any sort of academic feeling with this course. It’s really more of a training guide. If you’re like me, you hate tests and had enough of those in school.

What format is the course?

Each lesson has a video walk-through accompanied by written posts. You’ll have a login to your own account. All courses you purchase will be here when you return.
